Tonight's episode of Sound Opinions features a revealing interview with Passion Pit's Michael Angelakos. He's almost painfully self-aware and direct in response to questions about his writing process and mental state. But, like the music he produces, Angelakos has an unfailing buoyancy that leads you to think in the end he's going to be alright. But the true revelation in the episode is just how lovely the man's songs are, even when stripped down to nothing but vocals and a grand piano. His performance of "Constant Conversations" from Gossamer is particularly stunning, displaying masterfully emotive vocals and a melody that could have just as easily been a '40s torch song as much as it is a slow club jam in it's full band version. Watch his performance below and tune in tonight to hear the full interview.

If you'd like to see his stripped down performance of the group's breakthrough hit "Sleepyhead," you can watch that too.
