The show runs through Wednesday, October 10 through Saturday, November 10. Showtimes are Thursdays, Fridays and Saturdays at 7:30 p.m., Sundays at 7 p.m. and a special performance Tuesday, Nov. 6 at 7:30 p.m.

Smokey Joe’s Cafe
Before you roll your eyes at the idea of yet another musical revue, think twice about skipping Smokey Joe’s CafĂ©. The show celebrates the pop, rock and roll and R & B hits of Jerry Leiber and Mike Stoller. They may not be household names, but we promise you’ll leave humming their familiar tunes. (Think “Stand By Me” and “Jailhouse Rock.”) The show runs through Sunday, November 11. Showtimes are Thursdays at 7:30 p.m., Fridays and Saturdays at 8 p.m. and Sundays at 7 p.m.

Theo Unique Cabaret Theatre at the No Exit Cafe, 6970 N. Glenwood, $30-$64, 773-347-1109 or online

Trainspotting USA
Take a break from the jazz hands and happy endings with a dark tale of heroin addicts surviving on the outskirts of Kansas City. The show runs Friday, Oct. 12 through Sunday, December 2. Showtimes are Thursdays and Fridays at 8 p.m., Saturdays at 7 p.m. and 9:30 p.m. and Sunday at 5 p.m.
