Meet The Owner Of Belgium's St. Feuillien Brewery At Fountainhead
By Lorna Juett in Food on Oct 17, 2012 8:40PM
St. Feuillien Brewery has produced some of the finest Abbey-style Belgian beers for the last 139 years. With that long history of sticking to a formula and making it work, it may come as a slight surprise that they have turned to a modern American brewery, Green Flash out of California, to produce some interesting twists on some old styles including Bière De L’Amitié; a hopped out blonde Belgian strong, and Friendship Brew; a black saison.
If you find this as curious as we do, stop by Fountainhead on Monday Oct. 22 to talk to St. Feuillien Brewery owner, Dominique Friart. Starting at 7 p.m., Friart will be available to answer questions about her historic, family-owned brewery, and discuss the collaborations with Green Flash. Also of note, there will be informal beer pairing menus available inside Fountainhead, and also on their heated rooftop patio beginning at 4:00p.m. The pairing menus include the collaboration beers, as well as tastings of beers brewed by St. Feuillien and Green Flash alone.
