Last Minute Plans: The Massacre At The Portage Theater

2012_10_20_massacre.png It kicked off at 12, but there's still time to get in the Halloween spirit by heading to the Portage Theater today for The Massacre, a 24-hour horror film festival. Here's the schedule:

1:45 p.m. - The Curse of the Werewolf (Hammer Horror!)
3:30 p.m. - The Witchfinder General (Vincent Price!)
5:15 p.m. - From The Drain (Cronenberg Rare Short!)
5:30 p.m. - Spider Baby - (dir. Jack Hill in person!)
7:45 p.m. - Return of the Living Dead - (Linnea Quigley in Person!)
10 p.m. - Phantasm II (The Ball is Back!)
11:45 p.m. - The Captured Bird (Guillermo Del Toro Producer!)
Midnight - A Nightmare On Elm St. 3: Dream Warriors (Freddy!)
1:45 a.m. - Hausu (Japanese Insanity!)
3:15 a.m. - Nightmares (80's Anthology Awesomeness!)
5 a.m. - Prince of Darkness (Carpenter Cult Film!)
6:45 a.m. - Dead Snow (Modern Monster Mayhem!)
8:30 a.m. - Frenzy (Classic Hitchcock!)
10:30 a.m. - Halloween II (The Original!)

Besides the films, there are trailers and short films and appearances by Linnea Quigley (Return of the Living Dead) and Jack Hill (director of Spider Baby, Coffy, Foxy Brown). Tickets are $25 at the door. The Portage is located at 4050 N. Milwaukee Ave.
