Chicago’s newest vintage market puts a spin on spending Sunday at the drive-in. Located in a parking garage in Uptown, Vintage Garage Chicago (5051 North Broadway Street) invites vendors to fill three garage levels by setting up shop in front of their vehicles.

The final Vintage Garage of the season will take place this Sunday, October 21 from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. Since June, a growing number of vendors from across the Midwest as well as antique enthusiasts have gathered on the third Sunday of each month to celebrate vintage furniture, fashion, and home goods. The $3 admission is a welcome alternative to similar markets whose entry fee rivals the price of mid-century finds, while the unique venue protects patrons and their prizes from the Chicago elements.

If haggling works up your appetite, visit the Food Truck Court CafĂ© in the adjacent parking lot. Eight local food trucks will be featured this month, including Chitown Tamale, Bridgeport Pasty, Chicago Cupcakes, and Get Curried Away. With no end in sight to the interest in Chicago’s vintage scene, treasure hunters can now look to their neighbors' garage for their next great find.
