Local H
Local H has a tradition of really doing it up on New Year's Eve in Chicago. Previous years have seen them riffing on 2001: A Space Odyssey, gold diggers, and celebrating their love affair with the music of Rush. While we haven't discovered this year's theme yet we can be the first to tell you where the show will take place. The duo will play Beat Kitchen on December 30 and 31 and tickets go on sale this Friday.

Since retiring from the Halloween circuit a few years ago—you basically have Local H to thank for the now innumerable Halloween covers bills that sprout up every year—the New Year's Eve show is where the band puts a lot of its creative efforts. Because of that you can pretty much count on these shows being absolute blow outs, especially given the intimate size of the venue.

In other Local H related news, the video for the latest Scott Lucas & The Married Men single will premiere on the big screen just before the midnight showing of The Rocky Horror Picture Show at The Music Box on October 26. You can get an advance peek at the video below, though! And The Married Men have a show at Township on November 9, their first indoor gig in a while after a summer of playing street festivals and outdoor shows.
