Still Sweet is the most recent moniker of Philadelphian Darian Scatton. The experimental singer / songwriter / multi-instrumentalist previously played under the name Scallion and, keeping in line with his aromatic-vegetable theme, founded the Edible Onion record label.

Scatton just released his newest EP, Blanketed in Nothing, which is comprised of delicate and woebegone folk-pop lullabies. For this recording, he sticks mostly to his harp and his voice (and the same goes for his live performances lately)—falsetto vocals, tender plucked melodies, and heavyhearted, narrative lyrics. Still Sweet also happens to be performing tonight at Humboldt Park bookstore The Yellow Book. Joining him in the night’s lineup are local acts Matthew Shelton, Wallpaper Lake, and Zigtebra. For now, here’s video of a live performance of Still Sweet's "Our Breadth Was Wide":
