2012_10_26_Illinois_logo.png On Tuesday Trojan released the results of its annual Sexual Health Report Card, which looks at the accessibility of sexual health resources and information available to students at college campuses nationwide. Parents sending their kids to the University of Illinois at Urbana Champaign will be pleased to know they’re kids have access to sensible sexual education. (And a lot of condoms.)

UIUC topped the survey conducted by Sperling's BestPlaces. Trojan noted students at Illinois receive “exemplary sexual health programming on campus, earning perfect scores in condom availability, HIV testing, lecture/outreach programs and student peer groups, quality of the sexual health information on the school website, and overall website usability and quality.” Illinois’ ranking on the survey caps what Trojan calls a stunning three year leap—the university ranked 64th on the 2010 survey and second last year, behind Columbia University.

Other Big Ten Schools with solid sexual health rankings included the University of Wisconsin-Madison (fifth) and the University of Iowa (eighth). DePaul, which was at the bottom of the power rankings last year, placed at number 114, which we’ll assume means that some students have at least discovered the condom section at the Dominick’s at Fullerton and Sheffield. Chicago State is still in the bottom of the rankings at number 137. Northwestern ranked 32nd in the survey and Notre Dame ranked 127th. Looks like the Irish are fighting something besides football opponents.
