2012_11_1_3floyds.png Big Star and Three Floyds are two names guaranteed to get every Chicago eater worked up. So, when the two team up for a dinner, it's gonna be popular. To make matters more urgent, the dinner is reasonably priced and they are taking reservations - something that Big Star practically never does. So read on and buy tickets before they sell out.

On Tuesday, Nov. 13, there will be two seatings at Big Star for a four course meal with beer pairings. The menu includes a tortilla-crusted scallop with plantain puree and a currant and sweet plantain salsa (paired with Stack 'N Stabb), a poached turkey breast and braised leg with cranberry stuffing (paired with Robert the Bruce) and smoked chorizo and mezcal with roasted mussel and tomato salsa (paired with Formorion Priestess). 3 Floyds will be debuting a new beer - Blot out the Sun - alongside a lamb t-bone and morcilla tamale with coffee mole and dandelion greens. There's also an extra beer course of Alpha Klaus to end out the evening.

The whole dinner, including the pairings, is $50. Seatings are at 6:30 and 9. Email events@bigstarchicago.com for more information and to make reservations.

Big Star is located at 1531 N Damen.
