Now that all the ghosts and goblins have retired to their respective netherworlds for another year, you can once again roam the streets in complete safety. Which is not to say you’re obliged to preserve complete sobriety. Lincoln Square and Ravenswood’s annual autumnal wine stroll takes place tonight, so you might as well wash your candy corn down with something more than leftover zombie blood (aka cranberry juice).

For $40, you can stroll one of three appetizing routes, popping in and sampling hors d'oeuvres and complementary seasonal wines at 12 different businesses from 6:30 to 9:30 pm. From Troquet to the Grafton to Gene’s Sausage Shop, neighborhood businesses are opening their doors to those who like to stay on their feet while letting the wine run to their head. Sponsored by Provenance Food and Wine, this is the walk that keeps on pouring. You can buy your tickets here.
