Suburban Chicago Woman Held Without Bond, Charged With Stabbing Son 100 Times, Girl She Babysat Another 50

DuPage County prosecutors allege Elzbieta Plackowska stabbed to death her 7-year-old son and a 5-year-old girl she was babysitting Monday night because her husband didn’t appreciate her.

Plackowska was brought in as a person of interest in the murders after Naperville police found the children and two dogs murdered, and Plackowska “covered in blood” during a well being check-in. She was charged with two counts of first-degree murder and denied bond Thursday morning.

Prosecutors contend that Plackowska ordered her son Justin and Olivia Dworakowski to come down from a bed they on which they were playing, ordered them to kneel and pray before she slashed both children’s throats, stabbed Justin over 100 times and Olivia another 50. She allegedly told authorities she killed her son as a way to get back at her husband. Olivia Dworakowski was killed because she witnessed the first murder. Investigators also noted Plackowska said she feared demons were threatening the children, and drove them to a church before the murders.

Naperville Police Chief Bob Marshall called the crime scene the most gruesome he’s witnessed in 30 years as a police officer.
