2012_11_7baconfest.jpg Slowly but surely we're backing away from the bacon craze—shocking, isn't it? But we'd place even money that when, when tickets to Baconfest Chicago 2013 go on sale, they'll sell out before you can blink twice.

To keep fans of the candy of the pig happy until then, Baconfest Chicago has organized a series of "bacon satellite" dinners at four restaurants throughout the autumn and winter. The first dinner kicks off Nov. 27 at Hearty. They'll have two seatings at 6 p.m. and 8:45 p.m.. View the menu and purchase tickets to the dinner here.

The Baconfest triumvirate then heads over to Maison Brasserie Dec. 3 for a dinner that starts at 7 p.m. View the menu and purchase tickets here.

Satellite Dinner will be at Red Door Dec. 10, which will serve as something of a homecoming for chef Troy Graves. Graves was one of the first chefs to participate in the first Baconfest. View the menu and purchase tickets here.

The final satellite dinner heads down to Taylor Street and Three Aces Jan. 14. Matt Troost is one of our favorite chefs in the city and Three Aces' food is always on point. View Troost's menu and purchase tickets here.
