Place your bets, Bears fans, on whether the odds cornerback Charles "Peanut" Tillman plays Sunday against the Texans hinge on the whims of an unborn child.
Tillman told WSCR-AM's Laurence Holmes, "The wife is due any day, so hopefully this baby can stay in until after the game on Sunday." Tillman went on to say, "I hope she stays in—I'm having another girl. Monday, for sure, but if she comes Sunday, I think I'm going to have to be at the hospital Sunday. So, I hope she stays in until after Sunday."
Tillman has had a spectacular season so far, leading the league with seven forced fumbles to go along with two interceptions returned for touchdowns. Many have singled out Tillman and Houston's JJ Watt as the leaders for the Defensive Player of the Year award, only adding to the hype for the Bears vs. Texans matchup.
If Tillman misses the game, his replacement will be either Kelvin Hayden or Sherrick McManis. Both of have been solid on special teams, but played sporadically on defense.
