Axelrod's Mustache Is Safe... For Now

Senior Obama advisor David Axelrod had promised to shave off his signature mustache if President Barack Obama lost in Minnesota, Michigan or Pennsylvania. After the President swept all three states, it looked like Axelrod's stache of 40 years was safe. In turn, Scarborough had promised to grow a mustache if Obama won Florida or North Carolina — Florida is still up in the air, but Obama lost North Carolina.
However, yesterday Axelrod returned to MSNBC host Joe Scarborough's Morning Joe to announce the "Slash the Stache" campaign to raise money for epilepsy research.
My 'stache survived. But I'll still shave it on Morning Joe, if you'll help raise $1m to find a cure for epilepsy! Slashthestache.com.

Scarborough agreed to wear a fake mustache while hosting a fundraiser for Citizens United for Research in Epilepsy, and he's chipping in $10,000 to the cause. Watch video of Axelrod's appearance below.
