2012_11_8_seen_heard.jpg If you're familiar with our "Music video of the day" feature, then you know we miss the days of music videos on television, even when it was Carson Daly with Justin Timberlake on TRL.

Well the folks at Cinema Culture are fans of music videos, too, so they put together the Seen & Heard Music Video Showcase, now in its fourth year and happening Friday at the Viaduct Theatre.

Chicago Filmmakers Society, CHIRP Radio and Cinema Culture put together more than 40 international videos, highlighting work that pushes the boundaries of form and the medium. In particular, it includes videos by Radar Music Videos and the work of animator Paul Beck.

The program also features a variety of cutting edge styles of music, as well as live music and multimedia performances by Gel Set, Pete Venkman, and Gentle Will & the Settlers.

The Seen & Heard Music Video Showcase at The Viaduct Theatre, 3111 N. Western Ave., Friday, Nov. 9 at 9:30 p.m. Tickets $10.
