Stuff Yourself With Chocolate For Charity During Chicago Chocolate Week

By Anthony Todd in Food on Nov 8, 2012 8:00PM

The Chicago Fine Chocolate Festival is rapidly approaching—buy your tickets now! As a companion project, Share Our Strength is working with a whole host of restaurants to host Chicago Chocolate Week, a chance to eat decadent desserts for a good cause. Ten percent of the proceeds from the dessert sales at participating restaurants go to Share Our Strength to fight childhood hunger. (Everyone knows that calories don't count if they are consumed for charity.)

The week runs from Nov. 11 through Nov. 18. The list of participating restaurants is extensive, including places like Sable, Floriole, Perennial Virant, Terzo Piano, Vie, Mercadito, Filini, Bar Toma, Avec, N9NE Steakhouse, Fritz Pastry, Hash House A Go Go, South Water Kitchen, Storefront Company and others. Some of the desserts that will be offered next week are pictured in the slideshow above, with dish descriptions in the photo captions.

If you're a chocolate lover, you have no excuse for not making at least three reservations next week. Get to it!
