Nate Silver Explains Why Chicago Is Better Than New York City

Nate Silver did a Q&A session with commenters on Deadspin today, and he offered a very succinct explanation "all the ways Chicago is a much better place to live than NYC." Silver writes:

A partial list:

1. Better tacos.
2. Better architecture.
3. Better burritos.
4. Better baseball stadiums.
5. Better tortas.
6. Better live music venues.

We're well acquainted with Silver's affection for Chicago's Mexican cuisine. We wrote last week about his "Burrito Bracket" that he started in 2007. Sadly he never finished, so we will have to do our own legwork to determine whether La Pasadita or De Pasada deserves the crown.

However, further along in the conversation, he made some other food comments that Chicagoans may not agree with. One commenter asked him, "Would you go as far as saying Chicago has better pizza than New York?" Silver writes:

Chicago has better hot dogs. New York has better pizza. New Haven has better pizza than New York. Reykjavik has better hot dogs than Chicago.

Reykjavik!? Show us your work, Silver.
