In what could be the biggest fast food news to hit Chicago since Chick-fil-A opened in the Loop, Grub Street New York is reporting that New York-based frozen custard and burger chain Shake Shack could be looking at a Chicago location.

Shake Shack has grown from a hot dog stand in Madison Square Park in Manhattan to 16 locations in New York, Connecticut, Pennsylvania, Florida, Washington, DC and the Middle East, with locations in Boston and London set to open next year.

Shake Shack is reportedly looking at a location on East Ohio with good foot traffic, possibly replacing the Harley-Davidson gift shop, near the site where Eataly Chicago will be built. If true, "good foot traffic" would be an understatement and the two businesses would possibly have licenses to print money.

A Shake Shack representative wouldn't comment to Grub Street NY on the reports.
