Last Minute Plans: Marko Casso At Lincoln Hall

By Jon Graef in Arts & Entertainment on Dec 5, 2012 7:20PM

2012_12_5_markocasso.jpg The very first sound that you hear on singer-songwriter Marko Casso's beautiful, yet unfortunately titled All Sex Goes To Heaven is the loud buzzing of tape hiss, or of possibly of an amplifier.

After that are autumnal, melancholic sounds and songs recalling Sharon Van Etton, Paul Westerberg's Vagrant-era solo material (more Stereo, less so Mono) and, on songs like "Dome Over Rockton," even Beach House.

Casso quietly released Heaven this summer, so tonight's show at Lincoln Hall might be your last chance to catch Casso before the end of the year. Stream All Sex Goes To Heaven here.

Tiny Fireflies, Marko Casso, and Deadbeat play tonight, Lincoln Hall, 2424 North Lincoln Avenue, 21+, $7.
