Check Out The Cocktail List At Bub City, Paul McGee's New Bar

We must admit that we're more excited about Bub City's tropical cousin, Three Dots and a Dash. But any chance to have Paul McGee's drinks is something to be celebrated. The former Whistler bartender, now at Lettuce Entertain You, is set to open his first new place. The massive Country/Western bar and BBQ joint is doing practice runs right now.
Last night was Bub City's first practice and Eater reported that they are hoping to open on Thursday. What about the drinks? McGee posted the full cocktail menu on his blog yesterday. McGee writes,
"I've also put together a cocktail menu that I think perfectly suits Bub City's country-western dive-vibe. All three- or four-ingredient riffs on classics, including one I'm particularly excited about: a Mexican Firing Squad Special straight out of a French Quarter-worthy frozen drink machine."
As expected, the list is heavy on whiskey cocktails, with one gin, one rum and one tequila drink each. Cocktails are only $10, which for a Paul McGee-quality concoction is a bargain, especially in that location. The drink list is still being revised, so keep an eye out. McGee mentioned that they still have to fix a typo or two like "leatherbee" gin, a mistake we've made ourselves once or twice. No news on the food options yet.
Unfortunately for those craving Tiki, a Lettuce insider told us that Three Dots and a Dash has been delayed. Don't expect an opening until 2013.
