The foodiesphere is abuzz with the news: at long last, Little Goat, Stephanie Izard's sequel to Girl and the Goat, is finally opening on Thursday. Sorta. While a part of Little Goat is opening this week, you'll have to wait until later in December before you can actually have dinner there.

The first part of the opening, Little Goat Bread, is the deli and bakery section of the new diner. They will serve breakfast pastries, coffee, a variety of breads, soups and sandwiches. The facility will make all of the breads for both Little Goat and Girl and the Goat. It will also include a small retail section with merchandise and some of Izard's favorite ingredients. With a logo that adorable, we bet they'll be selling a fair number of T-shirts. When you combine Little Goat Bread with J.P. Graziano and Publican Quality Meats, the West Loop is shaping up to become "Deli Row" in addition to restaurant row.

Once the restaurant actually opens, it's guaranteed to be packed solid. So if you want to get a look at the space and try out some fresh, Top Chef-endorsed breads, now might be your chance.

Little Goat is located at 820 W. Randolph St.
