2012_12_20_bastard.jpg While we’re wholly unconvinced that the whole world is going to go up in flames tomorrow, we’ll still take any excuse to party like it might. For those of us who aren’t going to drink themselves into a personal armageddon tonight, you should save up your life force for the Jerry’s Sandwiches Stone Brewing Tap Takeover on Friday.

Starting at 6 p.m., Jerry’s Sandwiches in Wicker Park offers up a multitude of Stone Brewing offerings, including a rare keg of 09.09.09 Vertical Epic Ale aged in red wine barrels, which taps at 7p.m. The 09.09.09 will go quickly, so if you want to make a vertical tasting of Stone’s 10.10.10, 11.11.11, and finally, the 12.12.12, you had better be there with bells on.

To round out the cultural portion of the evening, as post-apocalyptic man cannot live on beer alone, a screening of locally-made short films starts at 8, followed by an uncensored viewing of Bad Santa.

The party runs until you die laughing from Bad Santa, the world ends, or the cops shut the place down.

Jerry’s Sandwiches Wicker Park is located at 1938 W Division St.
