Eat Dinner Family-Style At Gather

Buried in our first look at Gather was a mention of "family-style dinners" — but no details on what exactly that entailed. We just got the menu, and it looks pretty amazing. Plus, it promises to become one of the best deals on the North Side.
Gather has been getting rave reviews since it opened a couple of weeks ago, but they don't just want to be a restaurant for trendy foodies. Rather, they hope to provide a gathering place (ha) for the entire neighborhood. And if there's one thing Lincoln Square is known for (aside from sausages and beer) it's families with small children. This all-inclusive, family-style dinner is free for kids under 10 as part of a special Sunday night deal.
The menu has 9 different items on it, including roast chicken with brussels sprouts, pasta with meatballs, freshly baked bread, homemade flatbread pizza, mixed greens salad and more — all homestyle food. The table picks three of these, and then the restaurant throws in glazed carrots, roasted potatoes and sticky buns for everyone. The price? Just $26/adult and nothing for kids.
The Sunday family-style dinner started last week, and from now on will be happening every Sunday. Stop in for a great deal and some food that is sure to please your whole family.
