Today's Weather: Sparse

By Samantha Abernethy in News on Dec 28, 2012 2:00PM

Parts of Chicago, mainly near the lake, saw up to an inch of snow on Thursday, and the northern suburbs accumulated as much as four inches in some parts, but the city still lacks significant snowfall this season. The current 0.4-inch snowfall total at O'Hare is a whopping 7.4 inches below average. Today might break that streak of 307 days without a 1+ inch of snowfall as a light storm is expected to drop one to two inches by Saturday morning. With a high of 34, temperatures remain warmer than usual. December 2012 temperatures are running nine degrees above average.
