If winter means dark spirits to you, try again. Gin isn't just a warm weather libation, and you can celebrate the juniper spirit all month at Leopold. The restaurant has brought back its Gin-uary promotion, which means an all-gin cocktail list, a gin flight, and guest bartenders whipping up gin concoctions paired with dishes from the kitchen.

The cocktail list includes spins on classics, like the Bees & Honey, a play on a Bee's Knees made with Letherbee gin, thyme-honey syrup, and sweet vermouth with an absinthe rinse, and Earhart, a play on an Aviation, made with Leopold Bros. gin, cranberry liqueur, crème de violette, and lime. Other gins available include Small's gin, F.E.W. gin, and North Shore Gin No. 6. There's a nice mix of locally made spirits and notable gins from across the country.

The gin flight includes Corsair Gin-Head American Style from Kentucky, St. George Terroir from California, and one of our recent favorite gins, Journeyman Bilberry Black Hearts from Michigan.

Keep up on guest bartenders and other gin-related specials on Leopold's Twitter feed.
