New Year's resolutioners: Looking to bridge the gap between promising to get in shape and giving it the good ol' college try before breaking that resolution? Then save some money and hit your nearest Chicago Park District field house, indoor pool, or gym facility.

January 7-13 is "Free Fitness Week" at all Park District gyms, pools, field houses and workout facilities. Many park locations have modern gym equipment including treadmills, cross trainers, spin cycles and weights, with little wait for a machine.

Some Park District locations also offer boxing, yoga, zumba, Pilates, and boot camp workouts. You'll be saving anywhere from $30-$60 from the standard usage fees for these facilities and you can use the promotion as an opportunity to figure out whether a monthly pass is a nice alternative to a gym membership.
