The Monday night farm dinner at Lula has become an institution, but this is the first time that they have brought in outside chefs to prepare the menu. On Monday, January 21st, chefs from Chicago and San Francisco will combine their powers to create a wonderful farm dinner extravaganza.

From Chicago come Chefs Beverly Kim and John Clark, most recently of Bonsoiree (though you may remember Beverly from Top Chef). From San Francisco come Evan and Sarah Rich of Rich Table. The menu is below, and it looks pretty great - each team prepares one course and Lula provides the dessert.

Menu
First: Celery root, salt cod, rye, dill (John and Beverly Kim)
Second: Roast Chicken, miso, rutabaga, bacon (Rich Table)
Third: Kaffir Lime Shortcake, Frozen yogurt, white grapefruit, coriander, cocoa (Lula Cafe)

The whole thing costs $45 per person, and wine pairings are available for an additional $25. Call 773-489-9554 for more information or to make reservations.

Lula Cafe is located at 2537 N. Kedzie.
