The shows we’re looking forward to most this week tackle heavyweight issues, from exposed family dysfunction to finding the humor in disease.
The Tony-nominated play makes its Chicago debut — and throws us into the explosive home life of Wyeths, who are about the have all their family secrets exposed in a gritty memoir written by their daughter. The show runs through Saturday, Jan. 12 through Sunday, Feb. 17.

Written by a former Seinfeld writer Marc Jaffe, this touching one-man show about a stand-up comedian and his fight and foibles with Parkinson’s is a refreshingly honest look at the often comical side effects of disease. The show runs through Sunday, Feb. 10.

More than just a story of a bad date gone wrong, the Raven Theatre’s new play promises to amp up the suspense with the story of a blind date turned stalker nightmare. The show runs Tuesday, Jan. 15 through Saturday, March 2.
