We're ready for hockey season, even without having to watch Slap Shot, Goon or Youngblood. Many NHL players went overseas during the lockout to keep their skills honed, including Blackhawks winger Patrick Kane.

Another, Detroit's Pavel Datsyuk, played for the Russian KHL, which recently had its All Star game. Datsyuk was part of the league's skills competition and put on a show.
