If you know where to look and have the craving for them, it's always paczki time on Chicago. But with Mardi Gras and the Lenten season fast approaching, soon bakeries that specialize in the Polish treat will be inundated with orders for them.

Evanston's Bennison's Bakery is one of our favorite places in the area to grab a paczki and their annual paczki eating contest fills up quick. In fact, this year's contest set for 2 p.m. Feb. 9 filled up so fast Bennison's they added spots for two more two-person teams, making the total number for the competition an even dozen. (Fitting for a bakery, don't you think?)

The winning team will get to split a $300 cash prize between them; all the participating teams will receive t-shirts and gift certificates for taking part. Act fast or else you'll just have to buy Bennison's Paczkis.

Bennison's Bakery is located at 1000 Davis St. in Evanston.
