A woman was shot and wounded while riding a CTA bus in the Englewood neighborhood on Thursday night.

Police say the 57-year-old woman was in the doorway to exit the eastbound No. 67 bus in the Hamilton Park neighborhood when she was shot in the right wrist and chest around 8:38 p.m. She was taken to the hospital in good condition.

According to the Tribune, "one person, who had been arguing with another person, fired into the bus." The woman was not the intended target.

The driver of the bus left the 300 block of West 69th Street and drove to a nearby Red Line station.
