Well how's this for karma?
While attacking a 70-year-old man, a robber accidentally stabbed his partner in the back.
Two robbers attacked the elderly man on a Blue Line train near the LaSalle Street station around 12:30 a.m. Wednesday morning. The two would-be robbers approached the man, who then tried to get to the other end of the car. As they hit and kicked the victim in the face, things didn't go exactly as planned.
One of the robbers tried to stab the man but accidentally stuck his 24-year-old partner, police said. He was taken to Northwestern Memorial Hospital, where he struggled to get out of his bed and spit on officers and had to be subdued, police said.
The second attacker (the one holding the knife) escaped.
