Nellcote and Old Town Social are lovely restaurants, but what really gets our mouths watering are the specialty products that come out of Chef Jared Van Camp's kitchens. Old Town Social has a charcuterie menu that is second-to-none and Nellcote has their own flour mill in the basement. While both of these delicacies get plenty of press, you usually can't get a hold of them for your home kitchen. Now you can.

This week, we got two juicy (or, since we're talking about flour and charcuterie, dry and/or starchy) pieces of news. First, Chef Van Camp will be selling all of his great charcuterie this Saturday at Green City Market. This is a one-time deal. We hope it will be repeated, but we're gonna stock up just in case. From 8:30 a.m. to 1 p.m. at the Peggy Notebaert Nature Museum, charcuterie will be flying off the slicer.

The flour from the Nellcote mill has a permanent home. Chef Van Camp announced this week via Facebook that Publican Quality Meats, source of everything good in the world, is now carrying his flour. Van Camp used to work at Blackbird, so everything has come full circle. For everyone looking for a really, really local source of flour, check it out.
