Today's Weather: Freezing Rain

Welcome to the Day of Rest, readers. You may want to settle in at home today as the National Weather Service has a winter weather advisory in effect from 11 a.m. until 4 p.m. for northeast Illinois and northwest Indiana. We could be receiving some freezing rain and sleet as we move forward today. Saturday's temperatures, while still below freezing, felt pleasant. Today's forecast high of 34 degrees and winds from the Southwest means conditions will get even sloppier as things begin to thaw, and it's going to get warmer overnight as we begin to see one of those freaky warm spells that's informed the past two winters.
