In Pictures: Snow Day Sculptures At Navy Pier

By Samantha Abernethy in Arts & Entertainment on Feb 1, 2013 5:00PM

The annual snow sculpture competition Snow Days at Navy Pier took place last weekend, and thanks to our Flickr pool contributors, we have some stellar shots of the artists' handiwork. The competition attracts artists from as far away as Russia, Pylaev Rudolf and his team, who built a 10-foot tall facsimile of Batman fighting Jaws.

The sculptures were judged on Saturday evening. First place went to a team from Racine, for its complicated and detailed piece. Second place went to a team from the Czech Republic, third to a German team and fourth place went to a team from Caledonia.
