Dinner parties aren’t what they used to be. Take Downton Abbey. These footmen's flirtations are wreaking havoc on the canapés (poor Carson). Fortunately Storefront Company and Chef Bryan Moscatello have hired the proper staff and issued invitations to a series of decorous dinners, each helmed by a master sommelier. You’ll have to supply the Maggie Smith bon mots yourself.

The Discovery Dinner Party Series takes place on Tuesday nights in February and March. The first is tomorrow, Feb. 5 and begins at 6:30 p.m. with a reception of hors d’oeuvres and cocktails, followed by a five-course tasting menu with wine pairings. Master sommeliers Ken Fredrickson, Doug Marello, and Fernando Beteta of Tenzing Wine & Spirits will be the guests of honor.

“With the Discovery Series,” says Chef Moscatello, “we’re inviting our guests to interact with these experts, learning from their individual specialties while enjoying a different sort of dinner experience at each event in the series.”

So wine, dine, and discuss. Just don’t talk Irish politics. Lord Grantham hates that.

Tickets are $90 per guest and are available by calling Storefront Company at 773-661-2609.

Storefront Company is located at 1941 W North Avenue.
