The host of the event, the Columbia Yacht Club.
Do you love chowder? If the answer is no, we don't understand you. Chowder is one of our favorite foods, and so the chance to eat a ton of different chowders, all in one place, is about as good as it gets. Chowdah Fest is coming back for a third year on March 11, and some of Chicago's best chefs are competing to create the best clam-and-cream concoction. Even better, it's on a boat!

If you've never been on the Columbia Yacht Club's ship, it's an experience out of an episode of Masterpiece Theatre, all wood-paneled and classy. The whole ship is filled with chowder stations manned by a star roster of chefs. The chefs and restaurants include:

Kevin Hickey (Allium)
Ryan McCaskey (Acadia)
Matt Troost (Three Aces)
Greg Bastien (Tavernita)
Roger Herring (Socca)
Jonathan Lane (Benny’s Chop House)
Giuseppe Tentori (GT Fish & Oyster)
Ben Sheagren (Hopleaf)

And that's not even all of them. Goose Island provides the beer, Lynfed Winery takes care of the wine, and you get to vote on your favorite chowder at the end of the night. All proceeds go to the Sea Scouts.

Chowdah Fest has released 100 "early bird" tickets priced at $40 each. Buy them online.
