Musical styles and tastes change about as often as some of us change socks, which makes the steadfast nature of Eleventh Dream Day's music even more impressive. The band has remained true to its core musical roots ever since Rick Rizzo and Janet Beveridge Bean met 30 years ago and, as Jim noted in 2011, the quartet shows no signs of slowing down or lowering the volume of their playing anytime soon.

Rizzo took to Twitter last weekend to announce a free Eleventh Dream Day show 9 p.m. Feb. 15 at Lake Forest College's Lily Reid Holt Memorial Chapel, which has become a popular suburban destination in recent years for indie rock shows.

What made us take notice of Rizzo's tweet was his announcement Eleventh Dream Day would be playing new music for the first time. This should make a trip to Lake Forest a must for the band's die-hard fans. And it's free, to boot. Travel up there early Friday; the chapel only holds 240 people.

Eleventh Dream Day plays a free all ages concert 9 p.m., Feb. 15 at the Lily Reid Holt Memorial Chapel at Lake Forest College, 555 N. Sheridan Road. Miracle Condition opens.
