First Ward Ald. Proco "Joe" Moreno
Remember that time First Ward Ald. Joe Moreno was against Chick-fil-a, and everybody was excited because he's so cool and acts like a hipster because he likes rock bands? Turns out that when you take a public position on an issue that's at odds with your constituents, it doesn't matter how many drinks you have on Division Street, or how much you love hanging out at the Congress Theater or how willing you are to take a public (and easy!) stand for gay marriage.

Here's video of parents booing and shouting down the Alderman at the Fullerton Network School Closings Hearing on Monday night. When Moreno took the stage to announce his support for Brentano Academy, "even though it's not in [his] ward," parents in the room started booing Moreno.

It seems parents think Moreno is being disingenuous in his support for public schools in Chicago, given his prior statements on public education in Chicago.
