Shows both new and very, very old are debuting this week on the Chicago stage.

Julius Caesar

Ambition, power, murder… You know the story, but you if you haven’t seen the inventive staging and modern references in Chicago Shakespeare Theater’s current production of Julius Caesar, you’re missing out on a reimaged Bard classic. The show runs through Sunday, March 24.

Steppenwolf Garage Rep

Three pioneering theater companies team up with the Steppenwolf to bring three distinct new shows to the stage. And at just $20 a ticket, there’s really no reason not to catch one (or all three for just $45). Garage Rep runs through Sunday, April 21.
