Runners looking to register for the Bank of America Chicago Marathon Officials will have to wait at least another week. Race officials released a statement late Thursday announcing the problems that led to Tuesday’s suspension of registration have not been cleared and they were “working around the clock to determine a timely, fair, and effective registration solution to fill the remaining 15,000 entries without further technical complications.”
Race officials blamed Tuesday’s cock-up on problems with the registration software from ACTIVE Networks. As for when registration will resume, an announcement will be made 3 p.m. CST Feb. 28. Anyone interested in still signing up for the race can sign up here to receive an email when the announcement is made.
