Baumé is one of our favorite Half Acre limited edition beers since its 2009 debut and was further proof Half Acre was in the beer game for the long haul, as it was one of the first beers to come out of their North Center home.

Now that Half Acre has grown to include a brand spanking new tap room that's filled to capacity most of the time, we can enjoy Baumé in its original rye stout form and variants. Half Acre is pouring four different types of Baumé: the standard version (which pours all day); Bourbon Barrel Aged Baumé; Rye Whiskey Barrel Aged Baumé; and 2012 Baumé, starting 5 p.m. Feb. 26.

It's all part of an event called "Baumé & Burly" focusing on heavy beers like stouts and winter ales. Other beers on the docket include Alpenglow winter ale, Big Hugs, Hearths Ablaze and Quakerbridge.

Half Acre Tap Room is located at 4257 N. Lincoln Avenue.
