It takes some real nerve to drop a release named Heatwave during the cold winter of Chicago, but we forgive Vamos. The local threesome has a special place in our hearts, or at least in our erogenous zone—they know how to make their punk rock fast, loud, hard, and a little bit sultry, and they’re forever trying to seduce us with loose and lusty vocals. Heatwave is no exception:

The band just dropped this release today—a sort of parting gift before they head out tomorrow for the long road trip to Austin for SXSW, and they’ll be mini-touring along the way with partners in punk rock Massive Ego. Heatwave will be released on Maximum Pelt as a cassette, and it’ll also include the tracks "stones" and "chemicals" (you can listen to those here).
