All of Chicago is Irish in March, even Ripasso. The Wicker Park Italian restaurant will host “The Red-Headed Step Child,” an Irish pop-up, for the next six weeks to benefit youth rugby.

Beginning Tuesday, Ripasso will feature a menu of Irish-American dishes in addition to its typical fare. Inspired by his years living and working in Ireland, Theo Gilbert’s Irish offerings includes shepherd’s pie with Guinness-braised shortribs, corned beef sliders, and Dublin coddle, a stew of potato, ham, and bangers. Rounding out the Emerald Isle makeover, Ripasso will add Irish décor, draft beer, and screenings of classic rugby matches.

The Red-Headed Step Child experience will culminate in a Charity Chef Battle between Gilbert and Schwa’s Michael Carlson in the second week of April.

Lunch: Thursday - Sunday at noon; Dinner: Daily 5 p.m.
