Here’s the problem with America: We don’t drink enough brandy. We also say “distillery” when we could say “schnapsbrennerei,” as in that operated by Koval Master Distiller Robert Birnecker’s grandparents in the Austrian Alps, where brandy, schnapps, and eaux-de-vie are more than just digestifs; they’re a high-altitude way of life. Luckily this Wednesday, March 13 you can eat and drink Alpine style at Table, Donkey and Stick, where you'll enjoy a four-course tasting menu of cheese and charcuterie, pork sausage and blueberry preserves, paired with a variety of Koval brandies.

While you’re sipping, Robert will be ‘splainin’ the history and methods of brand-making. The price is $50/person plus tax and gratuity, and you can buy tickets here.

Table, Donkey and Stick is located at 2728 W Armitage.
