Homebrewers, beer lovers, and fans of It’s Always Sunny In Philidelphia have reason to rejoice this Monday, March 18 when Aleman’s collaboratively brewed Coffee IPA, Dayman, is released to the public at Hopleaf.

After winning Iron Brew 2012 with their Coffee IPA recipe, the guys behind Aleman, Jim Moorehouse, Nate Albrecht and Brad Zeller, seized the opportunity to produce the beer on a larger scale at Stone Brewery in California. They used coffee beans they roasted themselves alongside beans from Two Brothers Brewery’s new coffee operation in the brew.

Stone’s Greg Koch, Two Brothers Jim and Jason Ebel, as well as their new coffee roaster, Mason Brown, and the Aleman crew will be on hand at Hopleaf to celebrate the release, and to speak with guests about Dayman (the beer, not the Always Sunny... character).

The beer starts to flow at 6 p.m., and will be accompanied by Stone and Two Brothers pours mixed into the always stellar Hopleaf beer list.

Hopleaf is located at 5148 N. Clark St.
