Lillie's Q Shut Down By Fire

The popular Wicker Park BBQ outpost Lillie's Q was severely damaged by a fire last night, reports the Tribune. The fire reportedly started in the basement, probably from a faulty water heater. It didn't start from the kitchen or any of the BBQ smokers.

We reached out to a representative of Lillie's Q, who told us "the Bucktown location and our Chicago French Market location are closed indefinitely." He also told us that, thankfully, no one was seriously injured in the fire, either in the restaurant or in the apartments above.

Update: The Tribune just tweeted an update to the story. The damage is concentrated in the basement, though the dining room suffered smoke damage.
