Gamers my age hold soft spots in the heart for Tecmo Bowl — Bo Jackson was unstoppable — and NHL '94. The latter was immortalized in this clip from Swingers where Vince Vaughn splits open the video game version of Wayne Gretzky's head.

The National Hockey League has been taking highlights from their games and giving them the NHL '94 treatment by adding 16-bit graphics and sound effects. Patrick Kane's spin-o-rama goal last weekend in the Blackhawks' 8-2 win against Dallas is one of those highlights. Check it out.

If Kane was in the league during the NHL '94 era, you know he would have received the Gretzky treatment.

For those of you who don't care, here's Kane's goal with Pat Foley's call.
