Chicagoist Weekend Theater: When Tribune Co. Owned The Cubs

Last week we brought you video of White Sox spring training in 1978. This week, courtesy of the Media Burn Archive, is video of the Chicago Tribune newsroom in 1981 when news broke that Tribune Co. bought the Chicago Cubs.

We present this to Cubs fans today as a way of saying that, although the Theo Epstein/Jed Hoyer rebuilding project is going to be painful, it could be worse.
