Half Acre Cycling's Gapers Block Crits, their practice race series, turns five this year with four days of races at Calumet Park March 25-28. Online registration is now closed but on-site registration begins at 5 p.m. each day with the first races at 6:10 p.m. (Calumet Park, 9801 S. Avenue G)
Dinner
The fourth installment of Frontier's "So You Think You're a Foodie" chef's table dinner series March 27 will focus on bison. The rest of the five-course menu is a mystery until you show up. Space is extremely limited. RSVP here. (1072 N. Milwaukee Ave.; 8 p.m.; $75.)
